The Y Stellar Evolutionary Tracks
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present a database of the latest stellar models of the Y 2 (Yonsei-Yale) collaboration. This database contains the stellar evolutionary tracks from the pre-main-sequence birthline to the helium core flash that were used to construct the Y 2 isochrones (Yi et al. 2001; Kim et al. 2002). We also provide a simple interpolation routine that generates stellar tracks for given sets of parameters (metallicity, mass, and α-enhancement). Subject headings: globular clusters:general – stars:abundances – stars:evolution – stars:interiors

The impact of α/Fe enhanced stellar evolutionary tracks on the ages of elliptical galaxies
We complement our study of α/Fe enhanced stellar population models of Lick absorption indices (Thomas et al., 2003) by comparing two sets of α/Fe enhanced models. In both models the impact on Lick indices due to α/Fe enhancement is accounted for through a modification of the stellar absorption line-strengths using the response functions of Tripicco & Bell (1995). One set of models, however, use...
متن کاملstellaR: A Package to Manage Stellar Evolution Tracks and Isochrones
We present the R package stellaR, which is designed to access and manipulate publicly available stellar evolutionary tracks and isochrones from the Pisa low-mass database. The procedures for extracting important stages in the evolution of a star from the database, for constructing isochrones from stellar tracks and for interpolating among tracks are discussed and demonstrated. Due to the advanc...
متن کاملStructure and Evolution of Nearby Stars with Planets Ii. Physical Properties of ∼ 1000 Cool Stars from the Spocs Catalog
We derive detailed theoretical models for 1074 nearby stars from the SPOCS (Spectroscopic Properties of Cool Stars) Catalog. The California and Carnegie Planet Search has obtained high-quality (R ≃ 70000− 90000, S/N ≃ 3− 500) echelle spectra of over 1000 nearby stars taken with the Hamilton spectrograph at Lick Observatory, the HIRES spectrograph at Keck, and UCLES at the Anglo Australian Obser...
متن کاملIntermediate Mass Stars: Updated Models
A new set of stellar models in the mass range 1.2 to 9 M⊙ is presented. The adopted chemical compositions cover the typical galactic values, namely 0.0001 ≤ Z ≤ 0.02 and 0.23 ≤ Y ≤ 0.28. A comparison among the most recent compilations of similar stellar models is also discussed. The main conclusion is that the differencies among the various evolutionary results are still rather large. For examp...
متن کاملA New, Efficient Stellar Evolution Code for Calculating Complete Evolutionary Tracks
We present a new stellar evolution code and a set of results, demonstrating its capability at calculating full evolutionary tracks for a wide range of masses and metallicities. The code is fast and efficient, and is capable of following through all evolutionary phases, without interruption or human intervention. It is meant to be used also in the context of modeling the evolution of dense stell...
